I grew up in the beautiful Barossa Valley in South Australia and, after completing my BSc in Statistics, moved to San Francisco to pursue a PhD in Statistics at UC Berkeley, during which I completed two Summer Internships at Genentech and discovered my passion for medical research.
I joined Genentech in 1994 and over the course of a 30+ year career gained deep experience in leadership and Oncology drug development, including spending 20 years in Oncology Statistics and serving for 10 years as a VP leading large global groups, where I discovered my second passion of developing the next generation of leaders.
By coaching and mentoring colleagues, first in Biostatistics, and then across diverse R&D functions, I discovered the joy of connecting authentically with people, learning their individual personality, aspirations, and challenges, and finding creative ways to help them gain broader perspectives and address their challenges head-on.
When I closed out my corporate career in 2025 I saw the opportunity to deepen my coaching skills through professional certification and to start a second career in personal development, scaling up my coaching impact to leaders across the life sciences community.
